The University of Oklahoma Information Technology Projects Office offers consultation and implementation services for complex IT projects. We provide hosting services, web design and development, security and network consulting (including wireless) and major application hosting and implementation. Go check it out now! |  |  |  | Benefits Administration, Benefits Billing, and COBRA Project Benefits Administration will provide a single, easy-to-use point of entry into a fully integrated suite of self-service benefits application and information. It will automate benefits enrollment and event maintenance, saving time and effort. Benefits Billing enables billing of employees for their benefits coverage. A few of the features BenBilling will enable us to do: (1) Interface with BenAdmin to automatically enroll eligible employees and their dependents into the benefits billing system (2) Generate billing statements for individual employees (3) Reconcile payments collected from participants and make payment adjustments when necessary (4) View current and historical benefits billing data online. The COBRA module simplifies COBRA management. It uses the Benefits Administration event maintenance processes to automatically trigger COBRA for qualified employees and their qualified dependents. A few features of COBRA: (1) Process secondary qualifying events (2) Automatically calculates length of COBRA coverage (3) Tracks COBRA events based on your schedule (4) Generates notification letters and enrollment forms. |  |  |  | Net Reg Network Registration (NetReg) is a process that requires users to register their computer before gaining Internet or Network access. NetReg will not invade your privacy or modify your computer. NetReg creates an entry with your computer's unique hardware identifiers and matches it to your contact information, allowing IT to contact you directly if your network access is compromised. NetReg will not track content, reconfigure, install software, or place information on your computer. | National Weather Center:
Information Technology was instrumental in the completion of the National Weather Service building dedicated this month.
Research Campus:
OU leads the Big Twelve in research growth and the largest research center of its kind in the nation is being built on the OU campus in partnership with federal research agencies. Over $700 million in new construction has been undertaken on the campus during a 5 year period.
Academic Interest
A new method of reaching incoming freshmen was created by Prospective Student Services. The new pages allow the student to choose an academic interest or search using key words for academic interests. Upon choosing an academic interest a new page will be displayed that shows all of the information relating to the interest chosen such as majors for that interest and possible jobs after graduation. Classroom Technology:
The AudioVisual (AV) department supports 132 classrooms. We are concentrating on the delivery of Accessible, Intuitive, and Reliable audiovisual solutions for the educational and administrative missions of The University of Oklahoma. The AV department also provides service to campus departments for their lecture rooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and other rooms that need AV equipment.
