Newly admitted students must log on to the University of Oklahoma's official email system and online services with the four steps listed to the right.

Course enrollment, tuition payment and accessing your grades are all accomplished online using your OUNet account. Many university departments and organizations (such as financial aid, student organizations, etc.) send important information to your OU email account. Your OUNet account is created for you automatically after you are admitted to OU. Now, you just need to access your account!

Two Set Up Your Password

Enter your OU Net ID (4+4): The first four digits of your last name (lowercase) plus the last four digits of your OU ID number.

Example: if your last name is Sooner and your 9-digit OU ID number is 123456789, then your OUNetID is: soon6789

Enter your Date Of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY).
Answer the five password questions.
Create a complex password.

Create a password that is between 8 and 32 characters long. It should consist of upper and lower case characters, and either a number or a special character. Disallowed special characters are @ , ' , ? , + , : , (space).
Three Go to: oumail.ou.edu
 Log on to your email account with your User Name (your OU Net ID) and your password.

Go to account.ou.edu to create or change your email alias (e.g. sooner@ou.edu)
